Kix Cereal “Upside Down” 1990

Tyler started his career in front of the camera as the Kix Cereal kid. Now he's a New York City based producer.

He produced Pippa Bianco’s debut feature film, SHARE, which premiered in U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival & had its international premiere in Official Selection at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival; he produced along with A24 & Loveless, and the film was distributed by HBO. Tyler also produced the short film upon which the feature is based, which won Cinefondation’s First Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize for Narrative Shorts at SXSW in 2015. Tyler was a producer of Jeremy Saulnier’s BLUE RUIN, which premiered in Director’s Fortnight at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and won the FIPRESCI Prize; the film played at festivals around the world including Sundance and TIFF, and went on to receive Independent Spirit Award and Gotham Award nominations. In 2021, he produced INTO THE SHADOW, a live concert film for Spotify featuring Grammy winner Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers, directed by Oscar Boyson. He’s produced his brother & collaborator Conor Byrne's short films, including LOUDINI (starring Henry Zebrowski & featuring Car Seat Headrest), FOUREYES (Vimeo Staff Pick, Short of the Week) and New York Knicks love letter, PORZINGOD, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and stars John Leguizamo -- all under their Brudder Films banner. 

As a commercial producer Tyler’s work has won Cannes Lions and received international acclaim in the advertising world, having been featured on AdWeek, Creativity, Shots, Shoot, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Vimeo Staff Picks and more. He was a Sundance Creative Producing Fellow and has a BA in Film Studies and Government from Wesleyan University.
